Terms of service

Last updated 21 October 2026

Hello

These terms cover your use of the syllabe app and this website. By using syllabe, you agree to them. They are short, because syllabe is simple.

Your poems are yours

Everything you write, record or add in syllabe belongs to you. We claim no rights to it, we cannot see it, and we never use it for anything.

Using syllabe

syllabe is free to use for writing, keeping and sharing your own work. Please don't use it to break the law or to share work that isn't yours to share. What you share through cards or exports is your responsibility.

Keeping your work safe

Your work lives on your phone, so looking after it is up to you. If your phone is lost, reset or the app is uninstalled, anything not backed up is gone and we cannot recover it. We recommend switching on phone backup or Google Drive backup, and exporting now and then.

Other services

Optional features use services run by others, like Google Drive and Google sign-in, and the apps you share to. Their own terms and privacy policies apply when you use them.

No guarantees

We work hard to make syllabe reliable, but it is provided as it is, without warranties of any kind. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for any loss of data or other loss that comes from using syllabe.

Changes

We may update syllabe and these terms. If the terms change in a way that matters, we will update this page and the date at the top, and let you know in the app.

The law

These terms are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka.
