Your data
Where it lives, and how to take it or delete it
Where it lives
- On your phone: everything. Poems, drafts, scraps, settings, photos and voice notes.
- In your phone backup, if it is on: your text only.
- In your Google Drive, if you switched on Drive backup: your text only, in a hidden syllabe folder.
- With us: nothing. We have no servers that hold your writing.
Take a copy
In syllabe, open Settings, then Export. Pick what to include and the format: PDF, Word, plain text, Markdown, a spreadsheet, or a full syllabe backup you can import again later.
Delete everything on your phone
Uninstall syllabe. Android removes the app and everything it saved on your phone, including photos and voice notes. Export first if you want to keep anything.
Delete your Google Drive backup
- In syllabe, open Settings and switch off Back up to Google Drive. This stops backups, but keeps the last one on Drive.
- On a computer, open drive.google.com, then the gear icon, Settings, Manage apps.
- Find syllabe, open Options, and choose Delete hidden app data.
- To remove syllabe's access completely, visit myaccount.google.com/connections and remove syllabe.
